Scott's parents decided not to pay for his high school tuition, therefore he worked as a janitor.
A lot of people get confused about Scott's middle name which in fact is Alan, not Anthony.
Scott's actual name would have been Anthony Scott Flippin. His father left home when he was very young and his mother re-married to Steven Stapp. So, Scott's name would have been Anthony Scott Stapp with the initials A.S.S. Since his mother wouldn't want that, nor would he, she had his name changed to Scott Alan Stapp. The name Alan came from his Step-father, whos middle name is Alan.
He has also had jobz as a cook at TGI-Fridays, and a oyster shucker at "Barnicle Bills."
Growing up, Scott was not allowed to listen to rock music in his home. He once brought home a Def Leppard cd of which his father quickly disposed of.
